One of Channel Four’s most memorable and powerful documentaries The Falling Man is a film that everyone seems to remember.
The Falling Man tells the story of the iconic photograph that should have become one of the most famous photographs in history. But instead, America turned her eyes away from the image – and tried to keep it hidden. Journalist Tom Junod followed the story of the jumper through all its many twists and turns. This story was not a quest to find the identity of the Fallen Man but to pin down the reason the photograph had disappeared and why it was so important for us all to understand the image and what it really meant. Most important of all the film was able to contribute to helping THE FALLING MAN find his true place in history.
One of Channel 4’s most successful films internationally.
